Replacement UPVC Door Handles
If you're replacing your handles or want to add a bit of extra security, you'll find the right handle for your door. Upvc handles are simple to fit and comply with the required 92mm centres of multipoint locks.
The backplate's fixing centre as well as the keyhole/lever dimensions are the most important measurements. Compare these measurements carefully with your existing marks before ordering.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles consist of a lever on one side and a handle that is shaped like a paddle on the opposite. They are intended for use with key wind locks. However they can also be attached to multipoint split spindle door locks.
Our range of upvc handles lever pads are available in a wide range of finishes. These will be listed in the drop-down menu once you have found the perfect handle for your door. Not all styles of handle are available in every finish though and you should always check the sizes and technical drawings for the particular product you are looking to ensure that you can get the correct size and fit.
It is crucial that when choosing a new set of Upvc lever pad handles, they match the PZ (distance from the spindle of the handle to the center of the hole in the cylinder) of your multipoint door locks. This is because the handles need to be aligned in order for the doors to stay locked, no matter if you're looking at them from the inside or outside. The handles we offer are designed to work with a variety of standard cylinder locks, but you should double-check prior to ordering.
You'll need to remove your handles that you have already installed and then dismantle the lock case if upgrading to dual spindle levers for your handle because this will require a split inline cylinder. They can be purchased separately, and we provide a full technical diagram to look at in the images for each product.
After you have removed the screws holding your existing door handle it is recommended to loosen them and inspect the mechanism to determine what condition it is in. You may have to loosen the screws a bit more if they are not tight. After that, you can take off the spindle and handle and install your new upvc door handle. It is essential to ensure that the handle is in the correct position prior to screwing it into place. You can do this by placing your finger between the frame of the door, and the handle to ensure that it is level.
Lever/Lever
Lever door handles function as an a multi-point lock using an Euro cylinder and are found on the majority of upvc double doors, aluminium doors and some wooden doors. They come in two types, with the lever inside and a paddle on the outside. Sprung - These include a spring cassette within the backplate that helps move the handle lever to the horizontal position. Non-sprung - these do not include a spring mechanism and will require manual pulled to raise the handle lever to the horizontal position.
To fix the door handle of a lever that is sagging, you will need to find the hole for access to the detent or pin, which is usually a small rectangle or round shaped hole or protruding pin situated on one side of the handle base plate. Once you have located the hole for accessing the detent or pin, you can take it out using a screwdriver.
Once the handle has been set horizontally, it is possible to put back the screws. Make sure to tighten them so that the handle is securely connected to the base plate. You should also consider applying a threadlocking adhesive to the screw threads to improve the grip and stop them from becoming loose over time.
Drooping lever door handles can be caused by many factors. The most common cause is that the fixings have been over tightened and are putting stress on the bearings of the lever, causing it to bind against the door's face. It could also be that the levers haven't been adjusted at the right angle, which causes compression of the latch mechanism and stops it from fully springing into motion.
Another reason is that the lever that is sprung is not operating correctly and this is typically due to the sprung not being in the proper position within the backplate. To determine if the handle returns to horizontal, simply operate it.
If your door handles are loose it is important to identify the issue fast, as this could lead to excessive wear on the screws, and even to the handle falling off the base plate. You should also tighten loose screws frequently to prevent them from becoming looser.
Lever/Snib
These upvc handles are called 'Snib handle sets' and come with a snib lock button at the top of the door lever. If you don't have a dummy locking device you can use this to secure the door. They are usually fitted with a Fullex 68PZ (that's 68mm between the spindle's center and lever or lock centre) door lock. We also have a range of other door handles with 68PZ from manufacturers such as Ferco and Fab & Fix.
The replacement of your door handle is a cost-effective way to update your home, whether you're replacing handles that are in use or fitting new ones to doors you've built in your house. more helpful hints are available in a variety of finishes, including coloured and chrome finishes, to complement your door and other hardware such as knobs, hinges, and bolts. They also come with a thumbturn release mechanism, and can be used on bathroom doors.

Mortise
If your uPVC front door handle is stuck in the open position, the problem will most likely be with the tubular latch. There may be a few things that can cause this, one of which is a simple lack of lubrication on the latch plate. This can be fixed quite easily by simply opening the door and spraying lubricant over the lock and handle. It could also be that the latch has slipped away from the backplate. This can be a bit more complicated and will require a specialist to fix.

These handles can be purchased on the internet or through an authorized locksmith in your area. They are simple to install and come with clear instructions.

Once you have these measurements, the simplest method to locate the correct handles is to use the filter by brand option on the website.
